ShopLocal Selects WebTrends 7 On Demand to Optimize Web-to-Store Shopping Services

CHICAGO and PORTLAND, Ore. - August 2, 2005 - WebTrends Inc., the global web analytics leader, today announced that ShopLocal LLC, the leading provider of Web-to-store services for retailers and other local businesses, has selected WebTrends® 7 On Demand to measure and optimize The ShopLocal Network (www.shoplocal.com) and its SmartCircular and Smart Catalog services. ShopLocal.com plans to leverage WebTrends to improve the web-to-store shopping experience for consumers on ShopLocal.com and its clients' retail web sites.

Its SmartCircular and Smart Catalog services transform printed promotions into compelling search-based interactive formats that leverage the creative of print promotions, while incorporating rich media functionality, versioning by location and visitor type and extensive analytics about shopper behavior.

ShopLocal will also use WebTrends to optimize its own marketing campaigns designed to attract more consumers to ShopLocal.com and more businesses to its services. In addition, the effectiveness of the site's search engine and the persuasiveness of advertisers' promotions displayed in the search results, are key areas of focus, as are ShopLocal.com's conversion scenarios.

For ShopLocal clients, WebTrends will be used to optimize merchandising, marketing and segmentation strategies. Customers can leverage WebTrends SmartView, an intuitive browser overlay to view metrics, segment behavior and conversion funnels superimposed on their digitized circulars, or view drilldown reports with full campaign and product hierarchies to evaluate different offers and products. ShopLocal customers will also be able to quickly pinpoint successful and unsuccessful marketing efforts with new features such as quick queries and the ability to drill-across to related reports to pinpoint variances by geography or visitor segment.
